Dedicated server Help?

Hi,

I am looking to rent a dedicated server for video hosting
would this be ok.

Server Package (Sales): Custom Build
Processor: 2.4GHz Celeron
Memory (RAM): 512 MB DDR400
Hard drive: 80 GB IDE/ATA
Operating System: Linux Fedora Core 5
IP Address: 3 IP Addresses
Virtual Pipe Size: 256 kbps Virtual Pipe Size

i have about 2385 Unique hits a month with about 5gb downloaded.

It would "work"
but this is very slow 256 kbps Virtual Pipe Size approx 32KB/s

VERY VERY slow for downloading movies, and that would be your ENTIRE bandwidth.. super slow.

thanks, so what kind of speed would i be looking for.

You should have a 1mbit connection atleast or even 10mbit.. find a place that will sell bw by the data transfered not by the actual speed un-metered.

www.ServerMatrix.com has some great celeron starter servers that work great
