Post first time server - need help
This will be the first time I will be moving my site to a dedicated server. So I have no idea how to configure it and secure it.

I will be running a Panitum 4 with 1 GB ram and OS would be CentOS.

Can someone please show me what to do after I buy the server. I need really nice firewall software so hacker cannot get into my site.

you could ask your provider to harden your server. or you could hire some one do it for you for one time fee.

You should consider buying a control panel such as directadmin as well. It will greatly simplify the process of running the server. You are most likely not ready to manage a server. It's a task to say the least.
