John, if there's anything I can do to help..let me know. But looking at the entire situation it seems you have it all under control. I don't view it as a money issue any longer and kudo's to you for your post on "Marketing and uncovering companies who like to take your money and run". Everyone definitely has a right to know.

Uh-hu....
It would be very unprofessional if indeed this was a RS employee with remarks like that to a serious issue.

Let's look at the logic of it.

Either I....

-Choice One-

Cancelled the server after moving off it.

Or...

-Choice Two-

Decided to be very generous to poor little old RackShack, and decided to pay every month for a server I was not using, and which got not even one single hit after I moved off it.

So, which sounds more reasonable?

So you're just going to take what he says at face value, automatically believe that he's right, EV1 is wrong based on NO EVIDENCE provided by JohnScott other than his word, while EV1 can provide logs showing NO CANCELLATION was requested until 9/10/03. It sounds to me like JohnScott forgot to cancel the account, figured out he's still paying the bill 3 months later, finally cancels it, and wants EV1 to just 'be nice' and give him his money back, just because he didnt use it.

If you're so righteous, where's your proof other than your word? You're expecting everyone to believe what you say and that you deserve money based on your word, no documentation, no print outs, no emails, nothing.

People - RackShack people - this thread will effectively lose you people a ton of potential customers.

It blows my mind that basic marketing instinct is lost on you.

Treat your customers right!

No, I am taking what he says because situations like this are posted by other people who have been customers of Rackshack, EV1 or whatever the hell your name is. This is not the first time a situation like this has been told and the reputation of Rackshack is slowly deteriorating. I'm not quite sure who you are, but if you're here in defense of Rackshack...save it. You've proven your worth with your first response and 2nd of "uh hu".

I would not give any credibility to instances like this...if it wasn't so common. Hell, look around your own forums. Heaven forbid one customer say something bad about Rackshack. You think they get away with it? No. Why? Because they're over populated by your ass kissers who think they'll get a free t-shirt or something if they defend you.

Oi, I'm not going to get myself worked up over this. The bottom line is that Rackshack is finally becoming known for what they truly are.

It amazes me that you have an EV1 IP address. If I didn't see it with my own eyes, I would never believe that a large company like that could be so stupid.

Our current growth will demonstrate the way that we treat people.

That was just one person of our entire team that was devoted to our customer service treatment.

We will treat customers right, however we won't be abused in the process.

You've still provided no proof. Why? Because you have none . You're expecting everyone to believe you based on what credibility you may or may not have. Rackshack has no reason to lie about your cancellation, if you had cancelled, the server would've been re-sold to someone else.

Tell me what steps you took to cancel your account with Rackshack, if you did indeed cancel it. And I dont mean 'mentioned in passing that I want to cancel', I mean, what PROPER procedures did you follow, to cancel your account?

Mario,

Do not go invoking the name of a recently deceased employee. It has no bearing or place in this discussion.

No, your current growth demonstrates the power of a brand. RS has branded itself superbly. But you are wrecking the brand.

Um, yeah, I think I specifically stated that I had no proof.

All I am going to say is that if we are liars and thieves as you stated what would we be doing here on your turf?

QT...kissers, have you read some of your post in the SB forum? :

Greg was a prime example of how we operate and I want him to be remembered, exceptional customer service at his best is what he represented.....that is the reason he was brought into this.

Gotta go certainly a experience for me.....hope it was the same for you.

As per EV1 guidelines, I:

1. Drank the blood of a 1 year old virgin chiken under a full moon.
2. Dancing clockwise around a 100 year old maple tree three times.
3. Chanted Whoba Gooba 40 times while staring cross-eyed at the tip of my nose.

LOL!

Ok, seriously, I logged in and sent a Cancellastion Request email from the Members area.
