Looking for a DEDICATED SERVER!!!

Looking for a dedicated server hosted in the following locations:

Germany
France
Sweden
or other EU sites...

So far I have found one that seems good with ZChosting, but is located in Canada & the U.S. which is not my first choice. They are offering the following to me at a reasonable price:

AMD Athlon64 3500+
2200MHz CPU
512MB RAM
300 GB HDD
100 Mbit/s Dedicated Link
FREE setup

OS- RedHat - RedHat as operating system (FREE!)

Unlimited FTP Accounts
Password Protect Directories
and UN-METERED bandwidth usage

The price I was quoted for the server with the 300GB HDD was £55.95 per month

which is not bad, except for the location. Does any one know of servers located in the locations I described above that could possible match this or, is this the best offer I will find

???

ZChosting is bullshit. Site has multiple 404's, site claims to have gone into business in December 2006, but then they claim to have started business in August 2006, and the biggest give-away is the fact that they copied and pasted text to their "Network" page.

If a company cannot write their own copy, I'd guess that they are just a couple of kids.

Reminds me of Ebound Media.

If you are okay with UK based hosts, 1and1 should do. Their rates are more or less same, and almost all your needs except unmetered bandwidth might be satisfied. They offer managed services but dont expect it to be similar to rackspace at this price

The four most catching things to me were the

100 Mbit/s Dedicated Link
£55.95 per month
the free cPanel 10.8.1
and the UN-METERED bandwidth usage
plus the unmanaged service, as myself and another individual will be maintaining the server

Not to mention the hard-drive space.... I agree with John Scott concerning the owner's truthfulness, as one of my pals that I work on another site with is only 19yrs old and it's his friend that owns the site it was through my pals that I found this great deal.

Further Explanation
I am a full-time doctoral candidate preparing to teach a course for the upcoming semester; and I have students in my courses that will be preparing an assignment for which they will need to create virtual machines to test certain applications. As I have the project & course grant-funded, and I have limited monies to waste, one of my colleagues suggested the idea of locating a server that the two of us could both maintain from alternate locations where we both work and teach a somewhat similar course.

IMHO U.K. lines are not the best to use for the project, which is why we decided to go with the EU locations instead, as we would like one central location for all the work. There are no needs for multiple I.P. addresses as this would create additional hassles and more work for the two. We would like to find something good, with a reasonable price, and reliable; as our grant is only funded for a two year time frame.

Heard bad reviews about MMB.
Try uk2.net, I believe they still offering free 2nd server (equal / less value)

Okay, just a quick update. I have decided to go with u2k as they offered me everything that I wanted & needed.

That is the only thing I would be concerned with. If they are pumping that you can use 10Mbs, then the quality of the bandwidth providers is not going to great, or its not multi-homed or route optimized.

If it is a hobby server, it would not be a bad deal... if your doing e-commerce on it... be wary of the offer.
