Help setting up a new web server
Hi all,
Im new to the web hosting industry and to this forums. I would appriciate as much help as possible. I would have got a box running windows server 2003. I have a basic internet connection broadband from bt. I look at upgrading when things strat to get off the ground. What do i need to do now? I know you can host web sites in IIS but im not sure how. Please help |

Well you would need a dedicated IP to your home if your thinking of doing webhosting out ofyour house connection. Also im sure your aware your using th einternet will impact the servers connection speed. Im also sure your aware that most home network connections have awful upload speed. Since servers do 99% of their traffic in UPLOAD mode home connections are usually poor servers.
