EPPP! Bandwidth!

Epp! I just found out today I had a customer do 57 gb's in the last days, I'm scared I'm going to go over my 700 mb limit as I've done 260 gb's in the last 3 days. I use Serverbeach, is there a way for me to ask them for my totall exact bandwidth usage? How much do they charge if I go over the 700 mb limit? On the site it say $20 if you go over the 400 limit, but I hope this is not true. I'm extremely worried right now and could use your help a LOT. Please respond fast.

Well Karrot it would make most sense to ask serverbeach these questions in their forum but since I know the answers Ill give them to you here.

$5/gig for anything over yoru quota.

Yes you can call sales and they can give you the current usage on your server.

You can also configure your server to throttle the nic to only output at say 2.5mb/sec. This would in theory limit your total bandwidth to just under your quota amount so you would never go over. It woudl also limit your servers connection during burst periods.

What is your clients total bandwidth limit? If your overselling yoru bandwith then you will run into these potental problems if a bunch of folks acutally use what is alloted to them.
