Post Can you host multiple sites on a Dedicated Server

When you pay for a dedicated server, are you limited to one site or can you host many sites on the same server.
And do you have to pay more for each site, or bandwidth used?

You should be able to host as many as your total bandwidth and disk space allows. If you plan on marketing the sites separately, you should get unique IP addresses for each site.

You can get a control panel with the server like Plesk or cPanel to manage and setup many websites.

Mate you can host as much as you want!

If your not used to administrating your own server, then it might be worth paying for a control panel like plesk or Cpanel that will help!

Enjoy the freedom ;-)

Well hold on now, with a dedicated server yes you can host as many sites as you want, but if you have a control panel you still might have to pay per licence depending on how the host sets you up. Most of the CP's offer unlimited, but you have to read the fine print=) Unless you know how to add and delete in Linux or IIS you will want a good CP.

You are obviously paying for a server and the resources. Howmany sites you host there is up to you. You can even host 100s of sites or even thousands, in a single dedi.

Hosting as many sites as you want, and sucking up 100% of the cpu resources on the server is precisely what a dedicated server is for.

Getting rid of all the limitations of a shared account, unlimited domains and cpu usage (bandwidth is another story).

Of course you can host a number of sites on dedicated server, but all depends on the company's offer, I mean bandwidth, disk space and other features.
As for recommendation, I can express the point that Hqhost.net, Serverpoint.com and Hostgator.com.

Hqhost.net - has two network bandwidth choices: Premium, starting at $150 and Value, starting at $99 solutions.

Serverpoint.com - their line of dual and quad core dedicated servers have the speed and capacity you need. Available operating systems: Linux (CentOS, Fedora, Ubuntu, Debian, Gentoo), FreeBSD and Windows 2003.

Hostgator.com - you will have the capability to go far beyond the resource limitations found in a shared hosting environment.

These companies are reliable, secure and trustworthy.

You know Santrex.net allows to host as many web sites on their dedis as the resources of it allow. All depends on your web site and the plan you are using from the company.

Depends of the web sites you are going to host. It seems that you hold shared web hosting account now and pay for each addon web site.
Well I think that dedicated server is not needed and you need to go with multiple shared account. Most web hosts offer that kind of service

There is no denying the fact that you are able to host multiple web sites on a dedicated server, but you know, it is not so easy to find and host your sites with reliable and stable company. I jump at the opportunity and recommend you to look at Aspnix.com and A2hosting.com as they both have good reputation. One more important fact is that their support staff is satisfactory to the customers and techs is really knowledgeable. Overall, a best host is that which makes less head aches for their customers.

Sometimes providers (exmasters.com, as I know) even allow reselling from their dedicated servers, what means it is possible to have multiple sites on the server.

Of course it is possible to host several sites on one dedicated server. As for host recommendation, have a look at MMhosting.com. It has a new dedicated server offers at affordable prices. Moreover, it also offers free bonuses and your sites will be always online.

It would depend on your hosting provider what they allow
but 99% of them will allow you to do so
and with the use of a control panel its an easy task (Plesk, Cpanel)
