$100 Header/Logo design competition
I'm looking for a header and logo for a new project of mine for this site

http://www.diyuniverse.com/

The site will be about DIY and home improvement etc. and so I'd like this reflected in the logo/ header if possible!

It's currently on a Joomla template and so I need a new header and logo making.

The logo should be 207*80 pixels (GIF) and the header should be 600*80 pixels.

Here are the current logo's from the joomla template-







The winner will be paid $100

The competition will close on the 30th January 2009

Payment will be by paypal, from a credit card (not from funds)

I know I only have itrader of 1 on here, but I can be trusted and have held several competitions on DP, but I was banned for no valid reason and so I have taken my business elsewhere.

is there any particular colour or design your interested in. I can make it a web2.0 style if you like. Just want to see if you like the concept first before I do anything more. I just made one that i thought would fit well and sent it to you via pm.

here are the header sample ofcourse I can resize it and put the logo seperate so it incorporates into the header.

Thanks for the entries so far, There are some interesting ideas there. I am not sure about the colours yet, or exactly what I am looking for as the site is brand new.

I can't be specific about what I want. If I knew what I wanted I would make the logo myself and hence this is why I held a competition- I can then choose the one that I think looks best.

A good logo can make or break a site
