I suppose your trusting self didn't take into account that he never responded on the thread, never replied to my e-mails, never replied to my PM's, took the time to cut out the exact size from the water marked sample to place on his site, never informed anyone he would be doing so, & still, after several e-mails / pm's / posts never replied, past contest end date, he has removed my copyright protected logo as per my request & has yet to reply to anyone. The lack of response & or communication is also a red flag.
I think you give him too much credit. at any rate, the site / business is now on my 7 year watch list, so if he tries to do it again in the future, I'll be ready for it
Not posting his URL & thinking nobody would find him doesn't make it right. Besides, with the company name for the logo it's rather easy to find the associated website, then do a whois & gather name, phone, address, e-mail, etc. so that you can proceed with any legal matters
