the things kinda settled down here in this nuts house of mine so now I got some more time for me and I'd like finish what I started (I've noticed that someone got sick on the road ) so here I am...

I had a look over a template of phpld v3 and there are some differences in the page structure + code (as far I could see at a glance because I haven't had the time to deeply examine all the files in there).

The thing is that what I'm doing here in v2 it will be very different from v3 and this is not good...so I'll need a copy of your script (the complete install script + a very light version of your database ~if required~ to have some data to work against, so I won't loose time adding data myself -I tried searching the net for v3 but couldn't find it to download freely -that, of course, if I'll be the one to do it ).

Please note that I require that script for personal purposes (that is for your directory) as I have no interests in launching myself a directory using this script. (if I'll ever need one, I'll just code it myself), so please don't get me wrong.

btw, I finished the wp blog theme, cleaned up the code and fixed some minor "bugs".
though, I'll have some questions regarding the footer's content as well...but later.

Steveorm3l, yes, I have a few questions:
Where could I put a place for 1-2 blog post snippets?
How about another 1-2 colors on the header/footer? I like green, but what about a blue or green or ?
Is this coded already ? I really like the link previews on the sides, could they be a bit smaller as well?

Also, what are you thoughts for how this could be used for a blog too?

Here are my thoughts so far:

I really like Steveorm3l's design. It is along the lines of what I am looking for.

Costin's work is also very good. It is a complete entry with blog, internal directory pages, etc.

Asiogroup's entry is a good start but the idea needs more development.


Costin, I think you have a great entry. I am looking for simple, but also unique and brandable. I am hoping for a few thing like a creative top page and a place to put a couple blog snippets. The theme matches very well, I am looking for a more unique directory top page. Any more ideas on fonts, graphic effects, and placement you want to show us?

Steveorm3l, great directory page layout. Let me see how you want to deal with the blog layout and category/link detail pages in the directory. I am hoping to see more soon. Could a wordpress theme be made from your directory template?

Asiogroup, sorry to hear about you getting sick. Thanks for your work so far.

I can provide scripts if necessary after the contest. I haven't decided on a winner yet. I plan on letting it run until the 25th since there is still activity. Let me know your thoughts. I am excited about this because the designs keep getting better and better!

I did added some images for the regular links listing and some entries (titles) from your blog in the sidebar but then I wanted to see how the v3 looks like and I had to change the content of the files (like main.tpl) so I could see the v3 in action and, somehow, something went totally wrong and now my v2 main.tpl file is a mess... *sad* ... so I don't have anything to show now...
