WooHoo! I would love to have Canon EOS 5D Mark II. I keep buying lottery tickets... but no joy yet. *wink*...I love my D90 - but the Canon is next on my list. Canon Powershot makes a nice little portable camera.

Nikon as most people agree is great but it's very expensive. I had contemplated getting a Nikon D300, but at the end after adding a little more money I managed to get a Canon 50D and an entire studio setup.

Unless you're a professional and already making money it's not possible to buy Nikon gear. And even if you can buy the camera and lens, you can't buy anything else. Especially in India. Trust me the economy isn't too great, so, Nikon is a dream come true.

Thumbs up

I like Kodak - Kodak has created a very easy to use camera. Beginning photographers will appreciate the straightforward menu structure, good image quality, low price, and easy to use controls.
