High Speed Photography
High speed photography can be described as the science of taking pictures of very fast phenomena. It allows photographers to "freeze time" and capture spectacular images.

I'm not good when it comes to photography but I'm really amaze on the fact that photographers communicate with their viewers through their photos in a very artistic and mysterious way with out even saying a word. A single photo can be described in a thousand way... or even a million.
How about you? Do you consider yourself as a good photographer? Do you like photography? How about high speed photography? Come on and share your photos with us.

Very nice pictures Micoblanco :-)
I don't consider myself as a good photographer, just an enthusiast photographer enjoying to take pictures. I sold some photos pro in the past, but that's all. My father was a professional photographer for many years, processed himself the B&W photos on paper, etc

Back in my photography class during my college years we also did that,
one person would drop something, like an orange in a bowl of colored liquid.
Not really high speed like the pics above, but it was really fun.

I don't know if you would call this picture high speed, but I did manage to get the bee in flight.

I guess that might me considered as a high speed photograph since you caught the wings of the bee which in fact can flaps its wing in an approximately 230 times per second rate.
Nice photo Ms. Ellen. Thanks for sharing.

Bee Flight
Oh yes - I like Bee Flight. ejingram. Very nice photo! Bees dart about quite rapidly so I would call it "High Speed".
This photo was taken at 1/1000th at f.8. I call this a lucky photo as I have had a hard time trying to duplicate it with other bees.
Nice photos everyone!

Hey Bob,
Great shot!
Did you notice that your bee has pollen on it's leg? It's getting ready to pollenate.

Thank you Ellen -
I actually did not know that until just recently when I was following a bee around the yard and noticed him with and without the yellow stuff. Quite fun!

Do people in your neighborhood think you are nuts, like they think I am? I chase bees and bugs, birds, squirrels and anything I can.

Actually - my neighbors are quite nice when they drive by and see me at the flower bush with a camera -- they just sort of 'smile' and wave...probably thinking "how nice..." while looking up the number for the white coat people.
Chasing a Blue Herron around the park though...that was entertaining.

I was trying to chase a snake and a blue heron yesterday where my hubby goes golfing.
There is a big snake that he keeps telling me about that I should take pictures of. I went yesterday and one of his friends took me around in the golf cart to look for the snake and the heron. They are on the same hole, but of course, no snake and no heron.
There's more time.
