First Photo posting

Ok, I'm stepping out of the "What is It" thread (and my comfort zone) and I'll post one of my favorite photos. I took it holding the camera up in the air behind my back while I held him.

One of those, "quick, get the camera" (in a loud whisper) moments.

I minimally digitally enhanced it since I am a rank beginner at that.

Thanks, everyone!

Julien, this photo was easy because the lighting was just right so I didn't have to do much - no blemishes or cars to remove from the shot. I took this photo years ago. This is a photo of the same little boy who had the american flag painted on his face in the what is it thread.

I think that I doodled around that day with one of the artistic filters that came with photoshop - it made a very mild adjustment. Probably something similar to what's described here on Cricket's blog: http://www.digital.mississippi-photo...y.com/glamour/

I was also going through a phase where I increased the contrast on most all my photos.

I'm so happy to browse around in this forum - there are so many great ideas and tips - and so much inspiration.

I lost the harddrive where I had my ancient copy of photoshop - old copy -- no disks that I can find - so I'm looking for a mac alternative - now I'm stuck with iphoto - it crops and removes red-eye and that's about it. It's just a wicked good organizational program. I should probably ask for suggestions

Best regards,
