Photography Challenge: Following Lightroom Tutorials

One of the fastest ways to learn is by experimenting, especially when you do so with a specific task to follow. And, a big part of photography is knowing how to edit those images as needed.

Here is your challenge: (1) Find a Lightroom tutorial to follow by doing a search on Google or You Tube. (2) Share your results (before and after) with one or more images using the tutorial, along with the link to the tutorial you followed.

If you don't have Lightroom, no problem, they have a free trial you can use.

If you needs photos to play with, let me know. I am sure one of us can come up with some for you.

Although I also have Lightroom, I have VERY LITTLE experience using it. It's always on my "I gotta learn to do this" list. So I will definitely be doing this challenge too.

Quick n Easy Tutorial...

This one is easy and saves you from having to go in to photoshop for a quick edit - it's the "Spot Removal Tool" -- Here is the link to the tutorial I followed.:

Spot Removal Tool In Lightroom Tutorial.

Attached are my examples. I liked this photo but found 1) - the orange drum in the upper left was distracting - and 2) the blue sign peering through the tree on the right (on the brick wall).

Two seconds with the spot removal tool and "Voila!" drum is gone and so is the sign. ---

Enjoy!

Looks a lot easier than erasing and cloning.

Thanks for that Bob. You have to know where things were to see the spot. Otherwise, they are hard to...spot.

I will look at this tutorial this weekend, and post some pics as well.
