Digital camera?

Hi,

I'm after a digital camera. I need a) a high resolution (12MP minimum) as I do a lot of cropping and b) it needs to be rugged, reliable and likely to last a while. I'm looking into this - Olympus Stylus Tough 8010 14 Megapixel Digital Camera - do you guys think it'd be appropriate? Any suggestions of an alternative?

If you already have SLR lenses you may want to look at the same brand as what you have. My final purchase was based on the ability to use those old ones.

I did not look at the Olympus line. I bought a Pentax for compatibility.

I have very little experience with point and shoots, but budget aside.. if I were to buy one, it would be the Canon S90. It is the baddest point and shoot out there in my mind! It only comes in at 10MP but I don't agree totally basing how good a camera is on megapixels alone. If you want anything more than that, I say you are better off getting a DSLR.
