Possible Photo Scavenger Hunt?

Would any of y'all be interested in a photo scavenger hunt challenge? You can get an idea of what I mean here or we can come up with our own idea of how to go about doing it.

Sounds cool.

I know a friend who will probably be interested in this.

I think we can come up with our own rules

In terms of the hunt types, you can change them every time. I like the special item style one, though obviously we could have a larger "basic item" one hehehe. It'd be a good challenge to get us out there with cameras and trying to spot the *treasures*

Sounds like fun. Haven't been very good about getting out with my camera this winter. This could prod me into action.

We would definitely want to come up with our own rules. Please add any ideas you have for this.

I like the concept. I may not have time to fully participate right now. Creating the rules is good. Borrowing much of theirs is not a bad plan to start.

I nominate Kevin to start the ball rolling.

I nominate Kevin too

The friend I was speaking of, I think will be interested because she inadvertently created her own "treasure hunt" about 2 weeks ago. On her facebook she was asking people to name things beginning with J. She's a Bon Jovi fan, so everyone was talking about that, but people threw in a tonne of things. She said great, never actually told anyone what it was about, then came back later with an album of shots of those things (the J was for January). I thought that was pretty cool.

I will join so long as the photos are of Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, a typical English village and a pint of English beer.......now that sounds good, sorry my photo will now be of an empty glass.

Kevin, we are still waiting. I am fairly sure we elected you to get the ball rolling.

I promise to participate.

@KevinB How is this going?

I've received the news I needed which means I will be going to the USA very very soon (booking tickets this week).

I wanted to point my friend Kelly to the thread once it's up. She's doing a photography course and has some great natural talent. She isn't a member here, so it'd be a great way to introduce her to the forum and get another person involved

I am going to make this an official V7N contest, with some random drawings for contextual links and directory listings. Here is what I need from you right now though, IDEAS! How should be set this up, what can we do to spread the word, and above all, how can we get people to actively participate in it?

I am in. I will need to revisit the site in your first post.

As for active participation make it a log in requirement.
