A few images from London GB
Let me see if I have this Flickr thing figured out or not.
This is a street shot right outside the front door of our London hotel. Trafalgar Square is on the left the Thames is toward the top and the hotel is to the right.

Those big red double deckers are a great way to see a good bit of the downtown area for a very nominal cost. They even include a short river boat ride which we failed to find the time to take.
Turning around and facing the other direction (180 turn) one can see some of the old a new London skyline.

To welcome us to the city the London Symphony Orchestra provided a free concert in Trafalgar Square on the evening of May 12, 2012. Too bad we were too tired to stay awake after being up for 36 hours. Photo taken from the rooftop of the Trafalgar Hilton.

There are more images and larger versions on Flickr. I will post some more here later.

It's really nice you can see why people like coming over here it's a shame as the rest of London is not that nice.

Bus
They still have those double decker buses over there? I heard they were going to phase them out of service a while ago. Anyway, nice pictures.

We only had two days there and except for the brief times the tube surfaced and the bus route to Southampton we did not get to see any place that real people live. That I do regret because I like to see the real place when I visit.
I felt a lot safer on your tube than I did the subway in NYC.

Nice pictures and I'd never ride on the subway in NY. Been there and one that a few times.

London and most of the area is heaven for people who like to shoot old and unique buildings.
We took a look at the picture of the Trafalgar Hilton and said we will have no trouble finding a building that looks like that since it is so close to the tube stop. That worked out okay, the eighth building shaped and built like that was the hotel. All uphill both ways.

Here are a few more.
Here are a few more and then I will move onto to Ireland.
Nelsons-Column
Head and shoulders shot Nelson's Column a monument in Trafalgar Square in Trafalgar Square London. It was completed in 1843 at a cost of £47,000. The jet in the bacground was not noticed until I did this 100% crop.

If you come to visit and want to see rural England, why not come to Sussex and experience the British countryside.? If you want to see the unspoilt areas then try Wales, Gloucestershire, Devon and Scotland (but dont forget beautiful Ireland)

I did have the pleasure of seeing most of that: London, South Hampton, Wales, Dublin, Belfast, and 4 ports in Scotland.

I like London bridge, I remember the song London bridge is falling down, falling down, falling down, falling down, my fair lady.
There was time when London bridge was the real attraction but now there are too much amazing construction is taking place. But still the classic is classy.

I had visited that place in Olympic time and that view was outstanding. It was looking super with full of peoples and specially the Olympic Village and that westfield stratford shopping mall. My Feeling at that time was amazing. I felt like i am in a small world because all countries peoples were together at that time at one place.
