Canon to stop making film cameras

Kind of sad, I think...

I agree. Film should be preserved and used alongside new technology, and not replaced

agreed. I'm not sure why they're doing this and film photographers I have spoke to (not all, some) still insist that film is superior to digital.

Does that mean they'll stop producing spare parts for film cams too?

I've been saving up for another film camera and some lens.
Half the fun of fine photography is adjusting lens and lightings and all that. The other half is seeing the photos after developing your own film in the dark room. If they'll be stopping production of cameras, I hope they don't stop producing the parts.

I'm not sure about parts Queen, that's an excellent question...I think I'll do a little research.

I'm wondering if film cameras will ever become so scarce that they will one day be worth some money....
