People will always want to capture and document the precious moments of their life. So, for that reason, photography will always be around. However, the way in which we document those moments will (and has) changed a lot over the past 100 or so years. And, this is to be expected. At some point, maybe future photographs will be taken via eye implant and instantly uploaded to the cloud.

I may be mising something obvious here, but I didn't see the infography in that link. Just a couple of comments

I don't think Photography will ever die, and No it's certainly not dead.
Photography has evolved over time, and it will continue evolving.

Instagram, and Snapchat are examples of the living legacy of photography. It's more popular than ever now. Bloggers on tumblr, Hubpages, and on their own websites can verify that. People use Photos for preserving memories, writing poetry, and even for marketing products.

Brides have photoshoots, we have family photos, Photography is here to stay!

Thumbs up similarities

I think it is going through a similar process as the music industry. Big name music shows cheapen the experience and the 'magic' of a final product just as a click of an app kills the experience of a photo taken on instagram. IMO

Got confused.
Anyway photography is not dead at all. It's only dead to the people who don't appreciate capture things. Sometimes, like what a saying goes, "photography is dead when the camera is on the shoulder." That would mean that photography is only dead to those who don't do it.

For my thoughts on the INFOGRAPHICS, well the harder I looked at it, the more confusing it gets.

The availability of photo devises, no doubt, changed the matter critically. By the way, we are sure not to talk about the death of photography. Just look around, almost everyone makes his or his friendsí photos on gadgets. Making selfies is extremely popular trend. Man, photo is everywhere how could it be dead? Itís true, that the art of photography has evolved, bat I believe all changes just making good.

No. What is the point of proclaiming immature death anyway?!
No, photography is doing fine.
Have you seen a shortage of exhibitions? A real lack of interesting images?
I don't think photography is dead, I think it's undergoing mutations, naturally. But that's as far as I'm willing to push it.

I don't believe Photography will ever be dead. I know two photographers and they make good money doing shoots for Weddings, anniversaries, Family photos, and modeling.
