Might I suggest a Fuji Finepix S5000 or higher (I own the S5000 & it works well for me) Try here:
http://photography.search.ebay.com/s...1QQsacatZ29997

I got mine about a year and a half ago and it was still going on ebay for $300 plus USD.

Nice Thanks Jeremy I'll look into it

My roommate uses his digital cam when there are lightning storms! Ill get hyim to give me a few pics for the forum cause I have to say they look INCREDIBLE.

I dont know how he is able to catch the pic right at the time that the lightning is flying but it seriously is quite the sight to see.

It is sooooo addictive. Once you truly start taking pictures you won't want to stop. Biggest thing I have noticed though is that I see the very best shots when I don't have a camera with me!

Best reason I like having this forum here is because it is far less intimidating than visiting one that is dedicated strictly to photography. In the big photography forums there are so many professionals that I get nervous joining in. Around here people are so friendly that I won't be scared to ask for help.

Yeah that's why I love having a camera on my phone buts its only 1megapixel.

I heard of a phone with a 4MP though

All I know is having it on your phone means you usually have a camera with you when you need it

Check out these sunsets I took from the roof of my brothers house one night when I was there they were taken with the cell phone.

Not bad at all! I have mostly gotten hooked on high MP cameras because I like to do a lot of cropping sometimes and I get some printed poster size and above for wall hangings. They are also nice for serious close-ups.

I put my cell phone away when I turned 40 and have never kept one close again. The only exception is there is always one in my glovebox because I live in the sticks, so I have it there for emergencies.
