Wordpress Media Files

Hope I'm in the proper forum.

I have a real estate site in Wordpress, I use some images in multiple properties (beach shots, common areas, etc.). But each time I want to re-use an image, I have to re-upload it again and again.
Does anyone know of a way to use a previously uploaded image in the WP Media File, that’s already assigned to a post, and use it again in an additional post?

I end up wasting a lot of time, re-uploading and writing in alt text, description, etc when just re-using an existing image already in the media file would be so much quicker.

I've looked for a plug-in, but can't seem to find anything.
Thanks for any input.

I have run many WP sites-- once you upload the picture, it should be stored in your library of pictures.

Look at the coding of the previous image insert, copy it and manually insert it into the next post you wish to reuse it in via code view.

I think that wordpress media allowed you to search for previous image, so just search for that name and insert to the post, isn't it..?

That is correct.

I should have clarified in my original question. I am trying to re-use the previously uploaded images into a slider that came with the theme. To get the image into that slider, it makes you upload into that post. And doesn't allow you to use a previously uploaded image.

You can however, insert a previously uploaded image into the "body" of the post. But that doesn't help me with the slider.
