I like the last one as it looks more clear. is this a personal photography or you are using this for a website? In any case last one [bottom] is good. IMO

its one that i took. and well to make a long story short some one advised me that cropping it might make it look better. but i'm so indecisive i can't choose which i like the best. i love the original. (the first one) but i also like the others. so i thought i'd get some advice from other people. so thanks.

It also depends upon the size of image you use. If you are using the sizes mentioned here then I think last one is good. But if you place a larger image then 1st one will give more clarity to object. Thats what my thought is.

Are you using the image to make a point? Depending upon the intended use, I would choose a different image:
The first one (uncropped) gives a sense that the turtle is small and alone in his environment.
The third one gives a sense that the turtle is moving up.
The fourth one gives a sense that the turtle is moving forward and over obstacles.
The fifth one is similar to the fourth, but the turtle is larger giving it more a sense of importance.

I like turtle number 3 the best. It provides an excellent eye capture since the photo is vertically long and centered on both the step and the turtle, the wall in the background gives depth and the step creates the dramatic effect and its crisp.
