Oh thank you for thinking of us as we wallow in dirty melting snow...

Nice picture, by the way... now I have some hope that spring will actually arrive.

I like snow. I like absence of snow. I LOATHE the brown mucky slushy stuff in between. If you give me snow, just make sure it NEVER melts.

Hey Cricket, sorta thread hijack coming

One of the things that makes me realize spring is here is when I start smelling the orange tree blossoms. I love that smell and although the blossom almost year round here, they go crazy in early spring.

It is almost as wonderful a smell as the honeysuckle and the gardinias that are a lot more common in the South than here. Got any of these around your place? Can you package up the scent and send it my way? I do miss that!

Taltos, it isn't a thread hijack because it is a spring thread for everyone!
We don't have any citrus trees but I bet the smell is awesome! This is my first spring as a nonsmoker so I have been having a blast with all the new smells, especially with all the flowers blooming right now.!

Thanks Carla! I love yours too!

I really like your style of closeup photography. It shows simplicity, yet, it's very nice. Around where I live, Ohio, there is still some snow around. Nothing has yet to bloom.

The best training on photography I have ever seen is trial and error. The more pictures you take the better you will get. I have a very long way to go, but I sure have fun with it!

yeah, i was once at some camp where we had a competition of scrapbooking (:p) and we had a photographer come in and tell us about closeups and focus. Since i film movies, i know much about focus and quality - including color! After school tomorrow, i'll give it a shot! My camera is a digital video camera, not having a flash. I rely on artificial/ sunlight for video/photos with this little thing. Tomorrow is supposed to rainy - cloudy. hope there is some sunlight!

well i took two. and i am very surprised on how they came out. i really like them. A pine tree in my backyard, and a bare tree in my neighbor's front yard.

the sunlight really helped bring out the quality. my camera really doesn't seem to be that great. sunlight really helps

Thank you Grazie1! I appreciate that. It is starting to look like we are going to have a very short spring and head straight into summer. That's okay though. I love summer too!
