Light Box

Does anyone have their own light box or buy one?

I recently ordered this one and am excited to test it out.

Looking for tips/advice for those who use them

Cool pics.

I`m shooting products for websites.

I was going to make my own but no time right now and I need to get pics taken so I ordered the one I linked too.

DO you think a top-light is required?

It really seems to depend on what you are shooting and the available light in the room. Some folks love the effects of taking the light box outside and using natural light. This site gave me a lot of ideas for how to shoot different types of products in a light box

top light is a no .... the reason of light box is try to make the lighting evenly (softer) drop on object surface without bounce (reflex) and less shadow ..... Top light will create strong ground shadow.

What lens are you guys finding you use most with the light box? I've been eyeing the canon fixed 55mm but not sure it will work to well w/the box.

Well I took some test pics with the rebel kit lens. Seems to be good, will need to tweak light placement outside to get best shot depending on item being taken.

I`ll post some pics soon.

I made one with a Sterilite container, natural light bulbs and clip-on lights. It works OK except the cheap clip-on lights don't clip where I want them.
