13yr Old Tech/Software Domain - Value?

Hey everyone,

I own a 13yr old tech/software domain and site, the domain has never been dropped or deleted and has a number of .edu and .gov links including NASA and others.

The site is currently a pr4 and I have done very little promotion/seo on the website, which is the reasoning behind the low pr. Currently, the site makes around $30 per month with adsense just on the "residual" traffic that it receives.

All content is unique and targeted towards very high click prices. The highest earning click on this site so far was around $15 but it averages at around $1 to $3 depending on the page.

I am not sure if I want to sell this site or hang on to it, but I am curious to hear what some experienced site sellers would value it at. What do you think I could get for this site at auction either here or other site for sale forums?

Alright well without adding the value of the actual name itself or age (could be a nice generic who knows, you didn't mention it), or the traffic stats etc, I'll base this appraisal on the monthly earnings. So $30...to a 'reseller' looking for dev sites earning $ it breaks down like this:

$30 x 12months/year x (5years to 10years) so you're looking are around 2,000-4,000

Don't slap the screen, that's the price based on profit only, not including domain name, age factor, stats, pr, etc. You'd have to share the domain itself, plays a big role, site stats too and traffic.

But if it's as solid as I think it could be, you're looking at maybe high x,xxx to low xx,xxx

Mind you, an end user looking to tap into your niche could pay 2x that, easily, maybe more. So low-mid xx,xxx for an end user.

Its impossible to appraise a domain without actually looking the domain!
