Registration of name domains has changed correct ?

hi

im wondering if it is correct that registration of *name domain names has been changeed from firstname.lastname.name to whatever.name. Im asking this cause i tried to register some new domain names but my register doesnt allow it. Anyone knows if it is true and if so where to register those names besides my register of course

lol try to register a *name domain. Yuu will have to enter a first name and a last name. But recently this rule has been changed to just one name. Meaning i can go for one word keywords with a name extension. And as i said above i tried to register one by my register but he wasnt able to do so, thats why i was asking someonelse if he knows where we could.

you can register keyword.name, unless it is reserved or
firstname.keyword.name is registered.

name could be a nice extension, it means the same thing in english and german (although pronounced differently); but registration rules are too strict. It has to be your name or your nickname or abbreviation etc..

mini.name was lost in dispute. mini was trademark of a car company, and udrp awarded it to TM owner. they don't care
whether it is personal name of TM holder company!
