There are no advantages at all to have a .com / .net / .org etc...
I think for users, the simpler the better. I would personally go with no hyphens and .com
But SEO wise, it doesn't make a difference so I guess it's up to you.
Making a poll is a good suggestion.
Call 10 of your friends/family and ask them to write down an address. Tell the hyphen one to 5 and the non-hyphen to another 5. See what works the best.
