Transferring Forwarding Domain?

I bought the domain gamehideout.co.uk from 1and1.co.uk and since I already had webspace I set it up to forward to my site. Now I wish to move it to another server.

I changed the DNS settings to my new servers nameserver (I should probably mention that my new server is Ithium ). The problem is it still forwards to http://ghc.ithium.net/zone (where I had set it). I can't seem to get rid of this in my 1and1 control panel.

How do I prevent it from forwarding? Do I need to contact 1and1.co.uk?

Thanks.

Ive had alot of problems with 1&1. Firstly, they never used to let you change DNS settings, and had to fax them signitures. Secondly, all their tech support guys are Indian, and never understand exactly what I want.
At this momet in time Im currently waiting for my domain transfer to be complete, Im changing registrars.

Well you can try emailing, dont expect a quick reply though..
The DNS settings should work and override the forward..

Mmmmm. This is really odd. When I go to www.gamehideout.co.uk I get forwarded to the old site but for others (most people) they get taken to the new site???

Oh. Then it must be working, but your ISP hasn't updated yet. Sometimes it takes a couple of days, give it time. I am brought to the new site..

It depends on your Internet Service Provider. It takes time for the new settings to propagate throughout the Internet. Some people can see it almost immediately. Others might take up to 3 days..
