i want to hide my whois info

Hi,

Ive just purchased a domain and would like to hide my whois info. Its a strategic move really, as the impact of the site will be on its mystery. If my target audience knew it was mine it would have less of a 'who is this?' 'where is he?' 'how does heknow this' feel...

problem is if someone with any know how does a whois query on my site then that mysterious impact will be lost. How can I hide my whois info? Or at least keep it private?

Register it with or transfer it to GoDaddy. They offer a private registration for a fee. GoDaddy.com

i think anyone with a some good knowlege can find who registered anyway... it`s never 100% anonimous

Most private registrations will keep it private within their system interface only. All you need to do is use another service to get the who is info. I know there is a bill in congress to make it illegal to falsify whois data but can't remember if it passed.

Think of whois like registering a company name. It's public info. That's part of doing an online business. Best way around this is to have a friend or partner to register on your behalf.
