GoDaddy Phone Reminders

GoDaddy just called (with an automated message) to remind me some products I have with them expire in a month. First time they have done this in 4 years I have had an account.

+1 for the reminder
-1 that it was an automated message

I just got a few letters in the mail telling me that my domains will expire next month. I already had it set to renew automatically but it's nice to get something in the mail from godaddy. I even had a coupon code to use.

It's good to remind the people who own domains to actually renew them. I've seen a few sites the domain expired and 2 days later i emailed them and they had no clue the domain expired and was lucky enough to buy them before someone else bought it. (They was forums)

Maybe next time Godaddy will call me. I rather speak to a human then hear a automated message.

I got the reminder emails yesterday or the day before for the same thing. I'll have to go look and see if there are any coupons included.

Jeebus, did we all purchase our domains on the same day or something. I just got my final notice that the domain I'm letting go of is:

You did not enable the "automatic renew" option? Even if godaddy sent me no reminder, my domains would of still been renewed.

I suppose you and only you need to take care of the domain name registration and renewal. That means that you need to follow all domain names you currently have and use.

a ) I don't usually listen to obvious automated messages = if others don't also wasted long distance call

b ) Wasted opportunity to give some person attention to their clients. Not a sales pitch but to see how things are and could they be of other assistance.
