Xmovies.co.uk

Hi,

Could someone please appraise these names:

xmovies.co.uk
fashionexpo.co.uk
buy4xmas.com

At the moment I'm currently trying to develop fashionexpo.
I've also got:
kinkyboy.co.uk
kinkyboys.co.uk
after hearing that kinkygirls/girl.com sold recently fot quite a bit.

Anyone think any of them might be valuable?

In my opinion, domain names themselves are only valuable for one word, general niche domains :

cars.com
umbrellas.com
software.com
hosting.com

Any other domain, is useless as value (altough the market sees things otherwise).. I repeat, this is just my vision.

IMHO, it's not the domain that has the value, but it's promovation, PR, natural IBL's, etc.

Thanks for the reply,
I get your point, but I suppose all domains are as valuable as much as someone is really willing to pay for it.
I've seen many times on sedo some really good single generic names selling quite high, yet others that seem undervalued and go for the same price as two word or 3 word domains. Maybe some people are happy just to take the money, than holding out too long.

As for fashion expo, that's why I'm going to have a go of developing it, just to get some traffic through, as I'm sure with most sites having a site with traffic and website is easier to sell for a higher price than nothing but the name, unless of course it's very generic - as they can sell themselves.

Oh yeah, if my sight takes off, then obviously I might change my mind about selling it. So if you see it on sedo in a few months, then you know that I'm no good at developing and marketing. lol

I'm new to this, so this is just an opinion from a novice of course.
Greatly appreciate any other opinions of my domain names too.

xmovies.co.uk sounds good. Maybe porn, but still good.

xmovies.co.uk is a good domain. However I could only see it being used for porn.

I dont like xmas and other seasonal domains. For the other 11 months of the year they just sit there. I think they may be good if you can use existing website data and just add seasonal keywords.

Thanks for the great advice.
I know what you mean about Xmas being 1 month in the year domain, but I was thinking maybe 2 months for those that do shop early, and most people buy online nowadays at christams time.
I'll prob end up selling the xmovies site, soon as my 60 days are up on godaddy anyway.
