Does PR remain the same if I buy the domain from godaddy closeout auction

Does PR remain the same if I buy the domain from godaddy closeout auction??
Suppose all link-juice is one way and only links to homepage. I just want to know WHEN WILL GOOGLE REMOVE ALL PR AND RELATED HISTORY OF ANY DOMAIN...???

Whenever they find the content not matching the anchor links, perhaps a bit sooner. If the domain is one that was registered at GD then the original reg date may pass to you. That delays the potential drop. My only experience tended to be more of a slow decline than all at once.

Slow decline over time when no new content was added and some incoming links were removed. The entire process to about a year to lose 1 PR point (from a 4 to 3).

Try duplicating the content on the site using the wayback machine to keep or hold on to the page rank longer.

That could be the result of Google algorithm tweaks as well though.

Not exactly a good idea. Just because you bought a domain, it doesn't mean you are the owner of its old content. While the risk is probably small, there are potentially serious legal problems with doing that.

I used the file/page names where possible and wrote my own content. Everything else got redirected to a splash/custom error page.

Keeping the same folder/file names should definitely help slow the deterioration. And as it has been explain numerous times already, the decline is slow and is not an overnight occurrence.

Eventhough if you lose the PR, it would be easier to regain the PageRank for old domains.
