2 or 3 words Domain Names

Hello all ! Tell me please what way is better to use and why ?
For example:
www.wordword.com or www.word-word.com
or
www.wordwordword.com or www.word-word-word.com
The matter is that I think it's more better for robots if keywords are separated by "-". Am I right ?

Thank you very much

Keywords in the domain name have a very low SEO Value - if at all. However, www.word-word.com would be the way to go.

In case of two words in a domain name a dash would be ok to separate the keywords so i would say www.word-word.com would be better to use. Having said that, I don't think the dash in a domain makes a huge difference in SEs.

The shorter the name, the easier it is to type and remember (generally).

Yup. The dash does seperate the keywords so Google can recognize them, but the benefits are not that noteworthy.

I have to disagree with John and Peter. I believe for common term, 2 word domains, no hyphen is required.

Regardless of which way you go:
- shorter is always better.
- hyphenated domains are easier to read for a user in the serps.
- hyphenated domains are a bitch to tell someone on the phone or a bar so get business cards if you use one.
ie:
washington-state-travel.com
versus
washingtonstatetravel.com

You believe Google can parse the keywords?

Yes, just my opinion of course,

why?
- Get a domain with no hyphens and 2 words that are in the dictionary ( shorter the better )
- make a blank page splat adsense on said page.
- look at what advertisements show.

In my experience they always show relevent ads. Surely the Adsense team would share the same technology with the search team or vice versa.

I have never seen that, but it seems worth a try.

http://www.internet-marketing-blog.c...words-in-urls/

I actually tested a lot more URL's than I point out there. Even with underscore, Google was not parsing keywords.
