Drop Domain – Need Help

Can someone tell me if it’s ok to buy dropped domains? Are there any problems of which I should think beforehand?
Thanks in advance.

There's not much to worry about I think, I buy expired and aged domains all the time and it is easy if you know how.

If you're buying domains for several thousands of dollars it's of course a different thing, but if your looking to by cheap expiring domains with Pagerank you should take a look here: http://www.forgetmenutz.com/mmobwim/

The article talks about buying aged domains with pagerank in a very simple way.

If a domain previously owned expires, I would just watch the history of the site via archive.org. If the site had bad press with that domain, you probably want to be aware of it.

As someone already stated above, you can use archive.org to check the history of that website. I also do that when buying a dropped domain and had no problems. If someone else recommends any other method, I'd be curious to learn more.

I've heard mixed reviews about buying dropped domains, but I've not had any issues with it yet and neither has anyone I've talked to really...

It's always a good idea to do a bit of research on the dropped domain, to see what the site was, how it was run and to see if it's got any PR to it.. but overall I don't think it's a bad thing personally
