Question Is It Possible To Change My Domain Name?

I had purchased a domain name based on an idea that I surely believed would work. End up it became a disappointment, what a waste of money. I purchased the domain on GoDaddy.com.

Is it possible for me to simply change the Domain Name or do I have to buy a new one? Thank you for your time.

You have to buy a new one. Domain names are nonreturnable/nonrefundable.

Depending on the domain name you might be able to sell it at recoop your investment.

Yes. I don't think you can change the domain name. By the way, why buy from Godaddy? Godaddy is expensive. I have been using internetbs.net for quite a long time, it is much cheaper with Free Whois. I think you should try it. I am not an affiliate with them, just want to let you know the alternative.

I bought my domain from GoDaddy for $9.95 for a year. I didn't think that was expensive, but I guess if there are cheaper options out there then it would make sense to use them.

I don't know Kyle!

Sometimes its worth paying an extra 20% to get some decent support people that you can actually reach on the end of the phone to sort out any problems.

Problem is that you are paying more and not getting decent support. Their phone wait times are ridiculous and once you get a representative, they give you run arounds like crazy.

That's also a good point.

I suppose its just about finding the right domain registar! Sometimes it can take a few years of experience to settle with a registrar you like!

Other people are happy just keeping registrations at the cheapest price wherever that happens to be.

I like keeping all my domains in one account at one registrar.

Each ot their own I guess!

But there is NO WAY you will get a refund on a new registration. As soon as you press that registration button the registrar pays for that domain. They are not going to loose money to keep you happy! Unless you had a few thousand domains maybe!?

If you don't like a domain name then you can use a permanent re direct. Whenever a person will type your domain name it will be redirected to the website you want.
