Free .com Domain name?

Are there any sites that give you free domain names no strings attached?

I know that I get a free domain "if" I have hosting. That is a solid way to get a free domain now a days. Remember that there is nothing really free.

Yes there were not real domains. If you register like those domains after some days or after 2 weeks they will be blocked or disappear

Just remember, ICANN is the organization that defines the costs for domains. Because they charge (currently around $8.50/year) anyone giving a domain away for free has to have a reason, either they are trying to get your hosting (often first year free, then $14.95) or another reason..

"There's no such thing as a free lunch."

With that said, I have seem some Network Solutions coupons lately for <$5 domains. That's below cost, doubt you'll find cheaper, then just move the domain the next year.

I also searched the net for free .com domains but not found yet. Godaddy used to give .com domains for as low as $0.99 periodically. You can check on google that their scheme is still or not?

It would be done at a loss, so it's very unlikely. More likely to get one as part of a hosting sign up for a reduced price, possibly.

The only way I could think this could happen is when you have a generous "close" friend who would has a couple of bucks to share.
