Use a sub-domain or sub-directory instead
au.domain.com
OR
domain.com/au/

If you are a hosting or domain provider, you can register a .au domain name on behalf of your client with their information, but that will be the only way. Same deal with quite a few other domain extensions.

Thanks , JoshDylan , My query has been resolved. The client has settled with a .com domain with an "au" mentioned in the domain name.
