Domain Name Importance still Affects?

Hello Friends
Do you think that Domain name still matters in terms of SEO.

Personally I don't think so.

What are your view ?

Yes domain name still matters a lot.Just type Happy new year and you will see lots of EMD in the search results.

I don't think that the domain name makes as much a difference in SEO as it does branding. If you have a good brandable, catchy domain name people will remember it easier and be able to tell family, friends, etc about the site then to have a name nobody can remember.

Domain name is still very important if you want to dominate smaller niche from my experience. You get an edge advantage vs other sites with the same name. Also agree with Ulterious that branding does a lot (especially in a long term). So all in all if you are able to put your keyword into domain name that is just an overall bonus.

I agree with Chuchuhuasi about a keyword domain in certain types of markets. Just make sure you don't use more than one (maybe 2 in some instances) keyword in the domain name. More than that and Google and other search engines consider that keyword stuffing and the domain could be penalized.

The keyword in domain is still important for SEO,if your content on your website is related to the keyword in domain name.

Yes, if that specific keyword is in the domain name then it plays a better role in SERP to achieve great results.
