In future this may become common and popular TLD but currently people may not take it seriously. It also depends on your business . For Eg Url shortner website TLD is bitl.li This will not create any problem for them because they are providing efficient service.

It is just another stupid new tld designed to make more money for the domain registration industry.

Who ever things of .xyz? What does that even mean? It is meaningless. It is a waste of money.

In my opinion, it sounds like unprofessional. Maybe because we used to see .com/.net/.org as a tld

I agree. I brought loads of .xyz domains last year I even had my main site as a .xyz using a keyword then I came back to my senses and brought a .com. .xyz is just unprofessional not really for a serious branded company is it.

Don't think it holds any special significance in regards to SEO but seriously why would anyone even opt for such a domain extension on the first instance.

Well in my case every .com name I searched for was taken, then I fell for the hype as .xyz being the new .com lol now I just laugh when I look back. I'm just glad it only lasted a year. I tried to suggest it to a friend once and they just stared blankly at me...

Not much difference between. xyz and .com when it comes to SEO benefits. I have see some. xyz ranking for some of the high competition niches. Also you can get your desired name woth. xyz.

Well, I have to say most people still prefer to .com and other geo extensions. Personally, I think .xyz domain does not look so good.

Any money you put into promoting whatever.xyz will inevitably be spent also promoting whatever .com so, yeah, probably shouldn't do .xyz unless you have the .com version.

XYZ domain name is suitable for multi-business companies. If the registered domain name is single English keyword is really valuable. When you register domain names avoid trademark domain names and try to register generic keyword domain names.
