I have lot of complaints from user for using this domain.

Hi Everyone,

I tried and research before buying domain for my blog. Many user who comes to my blog are complaining that your domain does goes well with the blog. As i have not mentioned blog in the domain.

Is it really important to have a keyword in blog. As i dont want to change my domain and i like it very much. Please suggest what should i do. my blog url: italkcool.com

Now a days branding is more important than keywords in a domain. Build your brand and rank individual pages.

The domain name you selected should be fairly easy to brand and it's easy to remember.

You have a nice easy to remember domain name. I would keep it. You may want to consider using categories in your permalink structure (as I see you have a wordpress site) and have the category names be keyword rich. This way you get a nice memorable domain name but still get some keyword url benefits.

Assuming you do not know what Iphone, Ipad etc are....
Now you type in apple.com - what you expect to see - something regarding fruits.
But you know Apple as a brand.
Make your blog brand and you will get rid off that problem.

I have decided not change my domain, even it is not relevant or without any keywords. I will be focused on building brand for my blog.

I agree with Eugene with his clear example about Apple. Similar thing i would love to do with branding of my blog.

I have started marketing my brand by running print and online campaigns. I have started old style of branding near schools, coffee shop and big malls.

I think my strategies are working. Will keep updated on this thread. Thanks everyone
