can you appraise this domain please

Hi,

A buddy wanted me to get an appraisal for his domain, Im not very good with appraisals so i come here

The domain is muddymedia.com

Someone made an offer for $500 but then decided against selling it, after deciding not to take the offer.

Did he make a mistake and should he have sold it or could it be worth more than that?

I think i would have sold it

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I think you are right.He should have sold the domain as the domain name is quite long..

While i agree with you that he should have sold it, I dont think the length of this particular domain has any bearing on the value.

Like other "media" domains, this is just as short, its only 10 characters, and for a domain name with media in it, thats really not that long. If it were longer than what it is say 20 characters or 15, than i would think length would play a factor.

Its pretty memorable, and has decent marketability, but yeah goofus should have sold it.
