gamers-forum.com is decent, though try and get a cool keyword domain. General game forums can be hard to get members, maybe make it specific to one console or something?

Depending on what your objective is, vortex-games.com can be a
decent name for the time being.
If your objective is to be solely known on the internet by that name,
then you might possibly run into problems in the future if the owner
of vortexgames.com (without the dash) decides to compete with you.
He'll can steal quite a bit of your mistyped and word-of-mouth based
refereral traffic.
When people tell their friends, "Hey check out vortex games,"
they automatically assume that the site will be located at:
vortexgames.com rather than at vortex-games.com,
as they type it out for the first time into their web browser.
Right now, there is nothing but annoying pop up advertisement at
vortexgames.com, so you don't have anything to worry about for the
time being. But if the owner of vortexgames.com decides to use
his name one day, and he can make a better and more useful gaming
site, then traffic will start leaking out of your web site to his like crazy.
So before choosing a domain name. Scenerios such as the above
should always be taken into consideration if you decide to invest
heavily in building a long term company under that specific brand.
After all, you don't want to build up a name, just so someone else
with a similiar name can take away your traffic.

I would have to agree with gamers-forum.com.
You can also try the following:
gamers-base.com
gamers-cafe.com
gamers-hangout.com
Like projecting that its the perfect place to chill out for all gaming enthusiasts. Just my two cents. Good Luck!
