co.jp Domains

I recently registered my first and only .co.jp domain. ( v7n.co.jp )

The interesting thing is, in order to register a co.jp domain you have to be a corporation in Japan, and each corporation in Japan is limited to only one .co.jp domain.

I think it's actually a very smart policy to prevent domain squatters, no?

I checked but the registration process did not require one company/domain limit. All I needed was to select a Prefecture in Japan and register the domains.

I guess I missed the ".co" part. There is, of course, ".jp".
