quick Q about private domain

i have an existing domain, registered through godaddy. it's public. if i add private registration to that, so my address and stuff doesn't appear in the whois, will my domain go down for a day or two while new dns info propagates? i'm guessing not since the nameservers aren't changed, but i wanna make sure.
