Hey guys - check out this article I found on the most money every paid to buy a domain name.

I wish I had known back in 1995 to register some of these babies!

here's a sample:

1. Sex.com - $14 million
2. Diamond.com - $7.5 million
3. Business.com - $7.5 million
4. Beer.com - $7 million
5. Casino.com - $5.5 million

I was just thinking the same thing. Not only have I never visited them, I've never heard of them, either! And visiting them doesn't help. Truly undeveloped resources (except for beer.com ... but what's the point?) Somebody did a great sales job on those suckers!

How much it is valueable for them? How long it will take for them to earn the money they spent?

Is it worth putting more money on buying some good domain names?

I personally spent $70 to get my favorite domain recently. the domain is valuable for the money I paid.

something like sex.com business.com casino.com I can see being paid off in a few years, I am sure there are people right now that would buy those domains if they were for sale double the price.

SEX.COM is under redevelopment right now, it is not owned by Kremen any more, and I am pretty sure it was sold for more than 14 mill.
He also owns a big Online dating site, I forget which one.

Moniker is having a Gaming and Poker Domain auction as we speak right now in Amsterdam, look for some new records this week, in light of the new proposal to regulate online gaming in the U.S.
