buying a domain name for profit

Can you help me as regard making money with a domain name
I notice that bu8.com is being delated today, and is available for backorder, although i am not sure what this means.
esibot says its value is about $750.
godaddy just says it is not available.
Can i make money with this?

I have no connection with any of these sites

It is more and more difficult to make money from domains all the most sought after ones have long since been snapped up unless more suffixes are released.

Hey. Expiration date doesn't mean that domain name will be avavailable for the registration on the next day.

WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW, so many things wrong with everyones comments and the thread starter here are a few things I have to comment on:

1. If you backorder you do not Guarantee the fact that you will obtain the domain as other registrars maybe be backordered too, and they may be faster in getting it. To find the fastest out there you will have to look around, I am not at ease to say which I think is the best, but if you ask around you will find it easily!

2. Any estimation system like Estibot.com etc, are so off the ballpark it is not funny. NEVER yes I said NEVER use automated estimation systems the choice of your starting bid.

3. Saying that it will be deleted today is not totally correct, it should be the webmaster still has one more day to renew his domain. Many of the domains that is going to drop don't drop. Also you have to realize there are more out there than just you. The chance of you getting it is small if you are new, you should learn first and should not jump in head first!

4. Funny how no one here checked for who is. Anyway this domain was snapped up one day before you even posted here, it was probably backordered. So you had no chance to begin with.

Sorry to be so harsh, but most of these are unobtainable as they are already backordered. Many people are in this business so it is very hard to do so. Sorry to burst your bubble!

For every worthwhile domain you will have more than a few parties just waiting to snatch it. Rather than wasting time trying to snatch domains yourself, I'd suggest looking into services such as pool.com and snapnames.

And most of the time when you backorder a domain, if it is any good, it will go into auction.
