About $8 I would say. Domains are worthless almost zero except for some really small, single word domains that could be worth more. Just look at the domain of this forum, its massive, has hyphems and is about 400 characters but yet it has great value if you can do something with it like John has.

So a domain isn't worth shit unless there is a good site attached to it.

Planning a linux portal or directory. Linux had over 300,000 searches on Overture last month.. w3linux is about as close as you can get to "linux" for a .com. It's short, brandable, relevant, and easily remembered.

Thanks for the reply!

Think of domain names just like street names... You can have a street named Main street, but if it's in the middle of know where, there's no value in saying you live on main street, right? But if there are 1000's of businesses, and reasons for people to come to Main Street, then it's valuable to have a spot on Main Street, right? Does that make sense?

I see your point.. in other words, domains are worth more already developed.
