What is the factor about the expired domain that I should know before I buy it?
I only know
- Backlink
- PR
- GG ban or not (don't know how to check it)

Could someone suggest me about the factor n how to check it?

Has anyone had any luck with high PR domains? Does google retain the high PR rank after the domain expires and is picked up by someone else?

Depends. You're better off picking up a high pr domain before expiry though. Just be on the look up for "high pr" domain resale scams.
