...notify webmasters about newer versions of the software packages or plugins they're running on their website. For example, there might be a Drupal module or Joomla extension update available but some folks might not have upgraded. There are a few reasons a webmaster might not upgrade to the newer version and one of the reasons could be that they just don't know a new version exists. This is where we think we can help. We hope to let webmasters know about new versions of their software by sending them a message via Webmaster Tools. This way they can make an informed decision about whether or not they would like to upgrade....

Hello,

I existed an adsense a/c but at present it’s banned by Google. I have peruse their terms n requirement there they wrote we cannot add AdSense again on that site what was used one time in Adsense. Actually, I’m preparation to create new account with the different website and add AdSense on my old site as correctly but this plan has been failed when I study that. Now I’m planning to sell my domain between GoDaddy and buy himself from my associate name and their destination so my question is that method can be work?

If I’ill change my hosting location and name then can Google consider that site as a fresher for AdSense??

Please Reply as soon as possible !!!

Britneyspears - celebrity (we can apply for a domain with celebrity name right ?)
pics - nothing wrong here i think.

Adsense disapproved it, i think my domain was caught under the first point below, but the domain name has nothing to do with pornography, adult .
I think the celebrity keyword in my domain has used up lot of times in pornographies may be thats the reason for the disapporval.

SideWiki - discuss the implications

After looking into SideWiki a bit more, I have some concerns. First of all, you have to install it...

After looking into SideWiki a bit more, I have some concerns. First of all, you have to install it as an add-in toolbar (very un-web 2.0) to your browser and that's a big turn-off for me...

I won't be installing this, and I hope blog owners have the option to disable SideWiki from their site because it will take comments away from their blog.

This could really hurt blogs because blogs thrive on comments and engaging users. If the comments go on SideWiki instead of on the blog, Google is directly taking value away from that blog and giving it to themselves -- assuming some people who would have otherwise commented on the blog use SideWiki to comment instead.

I see some serious implications here, especially since Google is known for not responding when they are negatively impacting a business. How long is it going to take before a site owner starts losing business over something false that one of his competitors posted on SideWiki, which he can't remove? The problem is that this content goes essentially "on" your site (to any user with SideWiki), and you as the site owner have no control over it.

I don't want to bash this entirely... so here is what I think is good about it:

This is great for sites that don't already have a legit comments section (I'm thinking of scam sites with fake comment "testimonials" at the bottom) because Google controls the comments. The "scammer" webmaster won't have control over his fake comments so people who have been burned will have a place to let others know about the scam in an easily accessible centralized place that will show up to users visiting the site.

What does everyone else think?

I don't know what is going on with google lately
Many experts say that 404 not found links can slow your ranking progress in and harm u in lot of ways and am trying to avoid them but i keep seing them in webmaster tools although links are working for example

http://free4udirect.com/free/index.p...owners-do.html

that link is perfectly good and working but in google webmaster tools its listed under 404
First i thought its fault of sitemap and rechecked everything but problem is not there
i can't figure what could be the problem since that links and couple of other links also listed like 404 are working good for all except webmaster tools ?
anyone got any idea what could be the problem????

P.s. i tryed redirecting it to it self but it got messed even more
