Where do you go online to watch TV?

Where do you go online to watch TV?

I canceled my sat-dish because I was tired of the rising fees/taxes and the huge amount of paid-programming (it's like paying twice!)

I am a huge fan of hulu.com (been with them since it's inception) and feel that they are aiding in revolutionizing the method of commercials...
By that I mean, the length...I really don't see a need for a $500,000 1 minute ad telling me about Budweiser...
1) the beer sux
2) I know who you are
3) you just interrupted my program to remind me of the above 2
4) Stations sew them all together which add up to equal time between programs and ads

The best spots I have seen, on hulu.com, are from Alpo...8 seconds, and FedEx...again 8 seconds

I believe that advertising should be the first downsized (or re-tooled) other than payroll in this time of money crunching...

With media fixin to change immensely, I am just curious as to where you go to view your fav programs or at the very least just chill out...

Well there is the obvious Youtube, but of course in the UK at the moment google, who own youtube, could not come to an agreement with the musical rights group, and so youtube are removing all music videos from their UK site.

We also have the BBC's IPlayer which is basically a catchup service for programmes you miss on TV. It is excellent.

The bbc is great with the online service, offering all the tv they make for free on the website. To bad it's only for the UK though.

Its rather hard for me to watch TV online because I am one of the last 19,321 people who still has dial up.

I therefore walk to the living room to watch TV... I really need to catch up to the "civilized" world...
